A Forgotten Night

Jerry woke up in the late afternoon. It is very usual for a country mouse to wake up this late, though he was drinking all night long. Twitching his sleepy eye, he was surfing his memory lane to find some of his crazy last night’s stories. Though he never drank this much like the naughty crow who came from abroad and befriended him within five minutes. At first, crow insisted to have a drink with him, so jerry did. Drinking another beer Crow said, “There is nothing in this earth like this golden carrot!” He brought out a ‘Golden Carrot’ from his left wing-pocket and showed it to Jerry. Jerry’s eyes lit up, he thought, “It is beautiful!”

Crow put the Carrot away to his pocket by saying, “Last night, I found it on a side of a caged tiger.” Jerry replied, “No kidding!” Crow drank his beer to its last drop and again reached out to his left wing-pocket and said, “Not only that.” Bringing out the ‘Golden Ring’ he continued, “See this, I stole it from a filthy bear that lives in the mountains.” Jerry was captivating about that ‘Golden Carrot’ He didn’t even see the ‘Ring’ that Crow was waving towards him. “Give us two!” Crow shouted towards the half spider (bartender), Jerry instantly replied, “I am okay. Go ahead, you have another one.” Crow kept insisting on more rounds. Jerry reluctantly agreed, “Okay, this is the last one.” Crow smiled, there is something about this Crow’s smile that creeps him out. Suddenly, Jerry didn’t like him at all.

After having seven drinks Crow again reached his to his pocket (this time only the right-winged one) and brought out a ‘Golden Heart’ towards Jerry, as he was holding his cold beer-bottle to his head, he moved slowly with his drunken eyes to see that beautiful ‘Golden Heart’, although still Jerry was fixating about that ‘Golden Carrot’ Crow waved a creepy smile towards him and said, “This Golden Heart! Is it yours?” Drunken Jerry slowly moved his eyes forward, with a drunken voice he said, “I never own such a thing!” Crow smiled, it grew creepier than ever, gazing upon Jerry’s deep black eyes, he said, “Surely…”

Then… what happened? Suddenly, Jerry didn’t remember anything.
